As a savvy businessman or woman preparing for PMA Fresh Summit, we’re guessing that making the most of this fresh produce marketing event is top of mind for you. We know – you’re submitting booth paperwork, coordinating shipments, planning business meetings, and organizing your list of tradeshow goals, but it’s also important to think about creative ways to get maximum exposure with one of your company’s greatest assets – your logo! So, listed below are several places your logo could appear before and during the big show so that your ROI is out of this world!
1. Custom shirts – Already got a nice collection of branded polos and button downs? Consider allowing your team members to pick out a top of their choice and have them embroidered. This way your employees get to showcase their style and your team still looks cohesive through an impactful and visual touch point.
2. Shoes and Accessories – Maybe having branded shirts isn’t an earth-shattering concept, but have you thought about putting your logo on shoes or jewelry? Check out these kicks from SUNSET Produce that have their favorite products on them. Design yours here.
3. Sampling Napkins – If you’re serving up a specialty nosh, make sure it’s accompanied by a branded napkin. Attendees will appreciate the gesture as they savor your lip-smacking sampler.
4. Cookies – Ask the New Orleans Show Bakery or another local NOLA bakery to print your logo on cookies or cupcakes like River Point Farms did here … attendees will just eat’em up!
5. Pre-Show Mailers – Send a booth invite or new product announcement via email and/or a postcard to prep your existing and potential customers for what they can expect from you at the show.
6. Booth Assets – You may already have your booth structure or banner stands designed with your logo front and center, but consider placing your company’s brand mark on things like the front of tables and product displays through vinyl stickers or foam core signs (Fedex/Kinkos is a cost-effective, easy-to-use and reliable resource for small printing projects like this).
7. Giveaways – These are great because there are all sorts of items that range in price to fit your budget. Browse sites like branders.com or brandedgear.com for ideas on fun and practical things from ear buds and chip clips to USB drives and aprons!
8. Sponsorship Benefits – Whether it’s education, inspiration or making new connections, attendees benefit from sponsored events. So, by supporting events like the PMA Foundation’s 5K Race for Talent and Young Professional’s Reception or PMA Educational Workshops, participants associate those benefits with your company. Your logo could appear on everything from these organization’s websites and participant giveaways to event signage and banners.
9. Digital Ads – Consider email ads, web ads or wrap ads with industry publications like And Now U Know, PMA SmartBrief, or The Packer, all of which target various segments of the produce industry. Your audience will likely be in tune with these media sources as they are packed with information leading up to and during the show.
10. Your Website – You might be thinking, “Duh,” but try adding a callout box somewhere near your logo and prompt website visitors to stop by your booth.
The goal is to create as many visual touch points as possible. Don’t forget that your logo can do a lot of the work for you. Just think how nice it would be to have a business lead come by your booth and say, “Oh yea, I saw your company last week in XYZ publication!” or “I saw that you sponsored the women’s brunch this morning, thank you!”
