Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and now Google + make up my personal social media portfolio and what I am learning to be the suite of popular platforms fresh produce companies are utilizing and/or should be considering. The degree of social media presence is extremely important in today’s marketplace, especially for businesses. This has been proven to me time and time again during the course of my internship here at DMA Solutions.

• With Google +’s steady market entry, the giant has been able highlight and enhance the most popular features of three major social media outlets. Google + has increased their luster with versions of Twitter’s trackable hastags, Facebook’s photo editor, and LinkedIn’s communities. We have said it before, and will say it again: Google + is here to stay , especially when it is as efficient as this.
• Google + “circles” allow you to segment your consumers into different target groups. You can group your consumers based on different needs, wants, or even issues that are relevant to them. Circles are your gateway to utilize different marketing strategies for the different consumer groups that you cater to. This is B-to-C marketing at its finest, my friends.
